The HR team partners with all managers and employees in the company to provide solutions and resources for a productive and engaging environment. A major function of the HR team is to partner with managers on hiring top notch candidates in a timely manner.The Career Opportunity:Our HR Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of tasks related to Human Resources management. This includes coordinating employee benefits programs, facilitating employee onboarding and offboarding, and maintaining employee records. In addition, the HR Coordinator serves as the point person for HR-related issues and inquiries from managers and employees. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state employment laws.The position is based in San Diego, CA with a hybrid work schedule (3 days per week in office).Areas of Accountability:The responsibilities of the HR Coordinator are as follows;Serve as the main point of contact for general HR inquiries including but not limited to benefits, policies, employee data and HR systems and provide top-notch support to our employees and business leaders.Help develop and streamline HR processes, create, and maintain process documents, maintain personnel files and organizational charts, and aid with monthly billing processes.Ensure timely and accurate HRIS system data entry, including personnel information changes and job requisitions; assist with recurring HR reporting and basic analysis.Support employee lifecycle logistics, including employee onboarding/onboarding and exits, change letters, etc.Process leaves of absence and ADA accommodationsEnsure work authorization documents are up to date as well as work permits and other related compliance itemsAssists with annual processes such as open enrollment, performance reviews, minimum wage increases, EEO-1 reporting, etcEnsure all procedures are followed in line with company policies, industry best practices, and legal guidanceManage the company's intranet site and monthly HR communications.Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Distribute and track employee document acknowledgmentAssists with programs to recognize and celebrate employees including but not limited to employee reward programs.Coordinate employee benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement plans, including open enrollment supportProvide support to HR teams by creating reports, tracking metrics, and managing project timelinesCoordinate employee training and development programs and audit all online compliance training such as HIPAA and sexual harassment to ensure timely completion and compliance.Facilitate communication between employees and managementAssist with performance management proceduresCoordinate with Payroll and IT to ensure optimal employee experienceSchedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendasAssist with ad-hoc HR projectsMaintains knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, best practices in HR, talent management and employment lawCompetencies for SuccessBachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field2+ years of operational HR experienceVery high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without compromising qualityAbility to develop relationships with all levels of the organization (executive to front line) and be seen as a go-to-person for HR assistanceExpert at triage - frequently switching between analytical and creative thinking, and project managing against multiple deadlinesCustomer service minded: the ability to communicate consistently and clearly, respond with empathy and professionalism, and manage expectationsProficient in Microsoft Office 365 and HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG Pro & WFM, Workday)At PracticeTek we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience andskills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $49,450 - $75,000 for this position.We also believe in taking care of our people.
