Position Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Outreach Program Supervisor, the Community Health Worker is responsible for supporting Harris County Public Health's outreach activities and serves as the key liaison to educate, promote, and connect community members to all HCPH programs/services specifically on behalf of the Lead Poisoning Prevention and Substance Use Prevention Programs. This position will primarily work in the community through various outreach activities within Harris County, while also completing in-office tasks/projects to support overall outreach team objectives.
The Community Health Worker is expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment.
