We are seeking a dynamic Activities Coordinator for our Northville community.Responsibilities:Assists in the development and oversight of resident services, including planning and coordinating opportunities for residents that promote a level of health, wellbeing, engagement and growthAssists in planning, scheduling and conducting activities programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for the residentsAttends all community planned functions and coordinates event from beginning to end including setup, running, and breaking down for the eventHelps plan appropriate programs for holidays and special eventsCoordinates holiday decorations for the communityAssists with preparation and organization of a calendar of events. Submits the calendar to the Activities Director for final approval. Posts and distributes the calendarAssists with development and distribution of community newsletterMeets with or participates in meetings with new residents to introduce programsProvides ongoing communication with residents and, as necessary, family membersAddresses resident groups and other groups on subjects of common interestMaintains or assists with maintaining a database and prepares reports on resident assessments, participation and satisfactionProtects the privacy of the resident when communicating oral and written informationEducation/Experience:Minimum Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical schoolOne to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree in Sociology or Recreational Therapy, or an Activity Director Certification preferredBenefits:Paid Time Off, Earned Sick Time, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, etc...
