Job Summary

This position is responsible for effectively managing recruitment in a designated geographic territory by identifying, recruiting, counseling, admitting, and enrolling academically qualified students in accordance with the philosophy and goals of the College. This position is designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA).

Responsibilities

1 - Assist departmental leadership in setting new student enrollment targets, defining key schools, and devising and implementing strategies to reach those targets. 2 - Manage and execute recruitment in a designated territory by attending college fairs and high school visits, conducting presentations, and meeting with prospective students and their families. 3 - Utilize available communications tools to provide a high degree of personal contact and establish relationship with prospective students, applicants, accepted students, and their families while enhancing a student's level of interest in the College. 4 - Manage and execute special events and programs within assigned geographic territory; assist with on-campus recruitment and yield events. 5 - Build relationships with high school counselors, community-based organizations, and other constituents within assigned territory and collaborate with offices and departments across campus for the purpose of recruiting and enrolling new students. 6 - Manages recruitment and admissions for transfer and readmit students and coordinates on and off campus events for prospective transfer students including college fairs, community events, and other activities

7 - Evaluate, determine, and process admission for applicants through review of applicant files. 8 - Maintain accurate reports and records pertaining to prospective student recruitment, follow-up activity, enrollment, and accepted student yield. 9 - Performs related work and additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements - Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field Other Required Qualifications - Must possess a current valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review Required Experience - More than one year of related experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of prior work experience in recruiting, sales, higher education or a related field preferred
  • Familiarity with student information systems and/or customer relationship management systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Access/PowerPoint/Excel)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Abilities - Ability to lift at least twenty-five (25) pounds Knowledge - Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs Skills - Skill in decision making and problem solving. - Skill in the provision of customer services to applicants, families, and counselors
