Production SchedulerLocation: Milwaukee, WIShift: 1st Shift (Flexible start time between 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM)Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experienceEmployment Type: Full-Time, Direct HireOur client, a well-established and growing manufacturer in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Production Scheduler to support and optimize scheduling within their fabrication department. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient production flow, ensuring on-time delivery, and supporting daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong ERP experience, advanced Excel skills, and a background in sheet metal, stainless steel, or fabrication planning.Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage detailed production schedules for multiple departments, including sheet metal fabrication, sub-assemblies, and final assembly linesCollaborate daily with Area Managers, Production Supervisors, and Manufacturing Engineers to align schedules with department KPIs (SQDC metrics)Continuously monitor, adjust, and optimize the production schedule to address delays, material issues, or changing prioritiesResolve material availability issues and coordinate with procurement as neededRelease and manage work orders within the ERP system (Epicor preferred)Maintain and optimize lot sizes, reorder points, and production parameters for manufactured partsWork MRP exception messages to align supply with demandTrack and manage WIP (Work in Process) and finished goods inventory to support future demandParticipate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, safety, and lead timesContribute to lean manufacturing initiatives and support a culture of operational excellenceQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field3-5 years of production scheduling or planning experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong ERP experience required; Epicor ERP preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charting, macros)Experience with MRP systems, BOMs, routings, and master dataFamiliarity with sheet metal, stainless steel, or fabrication planning highly preferredAbility to operate effectively on the shop floor and coordinate with production teamsStrong problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skillsLean manufacturing experience a plusAPICS CPIM certification preferred
