On-site position at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Worcester, MA. Travel to multiple markets required.

Kinefac is a world leader in precision metal forming and processing technology providing innovative solutions to customers in the automotive, aerospace, medical, power generation and other industries. The company develops and manufactures metal forming machinery and dies from its world class facility located in Worcester, Massachusetts and has sales offices in Shanghai, China and Chennai, India. Kinefac technology and engineering also supports a range of other applications which include the companys KINECOIL medical device coiling systems, KINE-FORM dies, KINESPIN centrifugal fluid and parts cleaning equipment, and KINEPOWER hydraulic actuation systems.

Our growing 60-year-old company seeks an energetic, experienced sales leader with a proven track record in equipment sales to the automotive, aerospace, medical device and other industries. You will develop new customer opportunities to enhance the current sales and marketing activities of the company and drive future sales growth. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this person will focus on sales of Kinefac products including rolling, turning, and extrusion equipment to the automotive, aerospace, power generation, medical device industries and others. In the first four months, the sales engineer will work with our process development team for training in our machine technology, operations and applications, will gain hands on experience in the assembly of our machines and will shadow our sales team to become familiar with our sales culture and process. The role involves close coordination with engineering, production, and senior management.

It is expected that the Sales Engineer will bring relationships with prospective customers from their past experience in the industry. The Sales Engineer will work with the Vice President of Sales to determine a geographical focus for their sales activities and travel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prospect and build new customer relationships to generate sales of Kinefac machines
  • Work closely with customers to obtain technical details related to their needs and effectively convey needs to and coordinate with Kinefac application and machine engineering throughout the sales process
  • Review technical drawings, participate in technical quote reviews and prepare technical quotation with detailed project scope of work
  • Develop and make specific presentations to effectively present sound manufacturing solutions
  • Update activity within CRM and internal Kinefac system and prepare weekly sales activity reports for the Vice President of Sales
  • Provide after sales support and training, as required
  • Maintain ongoing customer relationships
  • Support marketing activities such as trade shows, seminars, and association meetings
  • Gain general knowledge of our KineCoil and KineSpin product line to provide additional coverage and support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3-10 year successful track record of sales and engineering support
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with past machine operation experience
  • Knowledge of various metal forming processes, especially, rolling, turning and extrusion helpful
  • Existing network of industry contacts within the medical, automotive, aerospace and other industries helpful
  • Mechanical engineering degree is a plus
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication and PC skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and CRM software proficiency
  • Ability to travel both globally and domestically
