The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2026. We seek candidates with teaching interests in strategic management and research interests in strategic management and/or entrepreneurship. Primary teaching responsibilities include our undergraduate strategic management capstone course, with additional teaching possible at the MBA or doctoral level.

In the Management and Entrepreneurship Department, we offer an undergraduate major in Management with concentrations in business administration, entrepreneurship, and international business; an undergraduate major in Human Resource Management; and a Ph.D. in Business. Management faculty teach in the undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. programs. The Department has 13 full-time faculty who are active researchers and engaged teachers. Our faculty have publications in leading journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Organizational Research Methods, Personnel Psychology, Psychological Bulletin, and Strategic Management Journal. The School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is fully accredited by the AACSB and is housed in a state-of-the-art facility, Snead Hall.
