If you're passionate about your craft, eager to learn, and want to grow in a dealership that prioritizes ongoing training and advancement, we want to meet you.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Automotive Service Technician who is willing to learn and be coached in a professional and fast-paced shop. Training and development are key components of this role. Candidates must be open to traveling out of state for manufacturer-sponsored training and continuing their technical education.Relocation assistance is available for A-Level Technicians:$3,000 relocation incentive.This role is ideal for a technician who is serious about long-term career growth and joining a dealership that values investment in its people.Job Type & ScheduleJob Type: Full-timePay: Based on experience and certificationsWork Requirements:Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM; 1 Saturday per month requiredAbility to Commute: Bloomington, IN (Required)Work Location: In personWillingness to travel out of state for 1-week training sessions is requiredResponsibilitiesPerform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracyTest-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to evaluate and repair systemsDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, etc.Communicate clearly with Service Advisors about findings and time estimatesExecute warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specificationsMaintain a clean, organized work environment and follow all safety standardsQualifications2+ years of Service Technician experience preferredFord Certification highly preferredExperience at a Ford dealership strongly preferredB-Level qualifications in diagnostic, electrical, and engine repairExcellent mechanical and troubleshooting skillsSteady hands, dexterity, and attention to detailAbility to operate diagnostic equipment and use repair softwarePositive, coachable attitude and a willingness to growStrong communication skills and a customer-focused mindsetAbility to collaborate effectively with the service teamWilling to travel for out-of-state training as requiredValid driver's license and clean driving recordMust be able to pass a drug screening - this is a drug-free workplaceWhy Join Community Ford of BloomingtonWe are serious about training, employee development, and building long-term careers.
