Join us in Blair NE as our newest Production Operator!In this role you'll make an impact by:Our Production Operators at Novonesis are skilled workers who are tasked with setting up, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and processes in our industrial biotechnology factory. Our industrial biotechnology factory uses microbes (living organisms found in nature) to produce biosolutions which are enzymes (produced by fermenting & feeding microbes) and proteins used as food ingredients. The biosolutions are used in the production of a variety of products in industries such as food, household care, animal nutrition, biofuels and more. The role of the Production Operator is key to ensure safety, quality and compliance of the production process. Some duties they are tasked with daily include: preparing raw materials, troubleshooting equipment, operating plant processing computers, making minor repairs, replacing parts, and testing materials for quality & compliance.Required experience & abilities:HS diploma or equivalentProficient computer literacyPhysical abilities:Move freely around in the factory and outdoor surroundings, including the ability to push, pull, kneel, and squatLift up to 60 pounds unassistedManually manipulate and use equipment and tools; i.e. turn valves & align hosesUse PPE such as but not limited to: uniform, hard hat, eye protection, ear protection, hair net, beard net, & respiratorClimb stairs and work at heights (ladders, platforms, & tanks)Enter & work in a confined spaceSchedule:12-hour shifts alternating between days & nights every 2 weeks (6:30-7:00 am/pm)2-2-3 rotationWeek 1: Work Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday, work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.Week 2: Off Monday and Tuesday, work Wednesday and Thursday, off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.Expected starting salary: $22 to $23/hr base wages + $3/hr night shift differential + 1.5X Sunday payOvertime availableCertification program available for increasing base payBenefits you will enjoy:401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution!PTO: 120 hours of vacation, 80 hours of wellness, & 32 hours of floating holidayHealth, Dental, Vision & Life insuranceHealthcare savings account option with generous employer contributionEmployee assistance programParental leaveApplication Deadline: 8/8/25Could our purpose be yours?
