A non-profit client of Insight Global located in East Hartford, CT is expanding their clinic teams across multiple settings from Behavioral Health, Residential/Inpatient, Primary Care, and Outpatient and are looking for experienced clinicians who are passionate to join their team. The experienced counselors that join the team would possess knowledge about substance abuse treatment and mental health. Trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques used to address issues, including depression, addiction and substance abuse, suicidal impulses, stress, problems with self-esteem, and grief; Counselors will work with a wide range of individuals, families, and groups to address and treat appropriately to their case. The clinician works independently with weekly supervision, is capable of directing and motivating clients toward abstinence and sobriety through specific avenues of treatment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Appropriately assesses client treatment needs and provides treatment recommendations. Provides individual and group counseling using evidence-based techniques. Crisis intervention as needed on unit Coordinates treatment with other providers to ensure best client care. Ensures appropriate aftercare plan for all assigned clients. Effectively manages crisis situations on the unit. Documents in the clinical record according to requirements of the regulatory agencies. Follows the utilization review process. Must Haves: Holds a Masters Degree as well as an active license in the state of CT with any of the following below:o LMSW, LPCA, LMFTA, LADC, LMFT, LPC, or LCSW Experience working in a Recovery-Oriented System of Care and clinical supervision experience.
