Job Coach
Position Summary: (Part Time) The Job Coach provides on-site support and guidance to individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment, helping them learn job tasks, adapt to the workplace, and meet employer expectations. The coach ensures clients build independence and succeed in their roles while fostering positive relationships with employers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one, on-the-job support to clients to ensure successful employment outcomes.
- Assist clients in learning job duties, developing appropriate workplace behaviors, and improving task efficiency.
- Support clients in problem-solving challenges related to work performance or communication.
- Communicate regularly with employers to assess client performance, gather feedback, and address concerns.
- Monitor client progress and document services provided in a timely, accurate manner.
- Encourage independence by gradually fading support as appropriate.
- Ensure all coaching aligns with workplace expectations and does not interfere with employer operations.
- Provide transportation training or assistance as needed.
- Attend trainings and team meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or employment barriers preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to various work environments.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must pass background check and any required training certifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods depending on client job site.
- Must be comfortable working in various environments, including retail, food service, manufacturing, or office settings.
