Adjunct Faculty For Health Sciences, Advanced Technical Center

Salary: $1,375 per credit

Trinity Washington University is seeking a dynamic educator to teach courses within the General Nursing program for the new Advanced Technical Center (ATC), a high school dual enrollment program in the College of Arts & Sciences for Fall Semester 2025, Winter Term 2026, Spring Semester 2026, and May Term 2026. The adjunct instructor will teach these courses at the ATCs Penn Center, located at 1709 3rd St NE.

The Fall Semester ATC classes start on August 25, 2025. This role includes additional compensation at a rate of $1,375 per credit for extra teaching hours.

Fall Semester 2025: One section of the 4-credit BIOL 121: Anatomy & Physiology I, scheduled as MTWTHF 12:15 1:35 PM.

Winter Term 2026: One section of the 1-credit INT 120: Experiential Learning II: Health Science, scheduled as MTWTHF 12:15 1:35 PM.

Spring Semester 2026: One section of the 4-credit BIOL 122: Anatomy & Physiology II, scheduled as MTWTHF 12:15 1:35 PM.

May Term 2026: One section of the 2-credit HPNU 130: Allied Health Skills Lab, scheduled as MTWTHF 12:15 1:35 PM.

The ATC is a partnership with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, providing DC high school students with dual enrollment pathways in fields such as health sciences and information technology.

Qualifications: Candidates should have at least a Masters degree from an accredited institution, with demonstrated strong teaching skills and previous undergraduate classroom experience. Preference for candidates with experience teaching dual enrollment students and active learning practices. Submission of official transcripts, sample syllabi, course evaluations, and references is required for interviews. Knowledge of best teaching practices is essential. Finalists will have an interview and teaching demonstration.
