Our patient-centered, team-based model delivers high-quality medical, dental, vision, outreach, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, regardless of a person's circumstances.Position SummaryValley Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated Clinical Therapist - HeadStart to join our behavioral health team. This is a full-time, on-site position that combines outpatient therapy services with school-based support for children and families enrolled in the Head Start program through Enrichment Services Program, Inc. (ESP). The role includes direct therapy, classroom observations, collaborative family engagement, and multidisciplinary teamwork to promote child and family well-being.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide therapy to individuals, couples, and families managing emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues.Maintain a weekly caseload of at least 28 clients, including both in-office and Head Start clients.Conduct 30- to 60-minute therapy sessions and complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.Deliver weekly, child-centered therapy sessions in school settings.Observe and assess 1-2 classrooms per ESP site in the region during the school year.Collaborate with parents, teachers, and Head Start staff to address behavioral concerns.Participate in IEPs, multidisciplinary meetings, staff training sessions, and related events.Provide clinical training requested by Head Start administration.Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Comply with all documentation, reporting, and contractual obligations in accordance with ESP standards.Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMLocation: Chattahoochee Valley Region (including Chattahoochee, Clay, Muscogee, Quitman, Stewart, and Talbot counties) Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.Knowledge of DSM and clinical diagnostic procedures.Experience with various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Family Systems).Valid driver's license, personal transportation, and active vehicle insurance.Must obtain clinical supervision over cases if not independently licensed.Compliance & ConfidentialityAdhere to HIPAA Privacy & Security policies.Safeguard all PHI, computer access credentials, and patient data per facility protocols.All staff are required to sign and comply with a Pledge of Confidentiality.Violations may lead to disciplinary action, including termination.Physical & Environmental RequirementsThis role involves both administrative and clinical tasks.Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work under occasional stress and varied hours.Join our mission to take compassionate mental health care accessible to children and families across the Chattahoochee Valley.
