The Department of Psychology at St. Olaf College invites applications for a full-time, one-year position in Psychology at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor, to begin August 2025. This position has the potential for additional years of reappointment.

Areas of expertise are open. Successful candidates will be able to teach two or more of the following courses: developmental psychology, social psychology, psychopathology, psychology of personality, biopsychology, sensation & perception, cognitive psychology, and conditioning & learning. A full-time load involves teaching six course sections spread over fall, spring, and/or a January term. All teaching is completed in-person. Appointees will also be expected to hold regular office hours on campus. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to high-quality undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education. Applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups and those with experience working with diverse undergraduate student populations are particularly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications A completed Ph.D. in psychology by the time of appointment is required.
