Alliance For Children is a nonprofit childrens advocacy center operating child-friendly centers in Arlington, Fort Worth and Hurst to serve all of Tarrant County. It is our mission to protect Tarrant County children from child abuse through teamed investigations, healing services, and community education.

Part-Time Clinical Therapist The Part Time Clinical Therapist will be responsible for scheduling appointments for their designated Alliance For Children center and providing individual counseling services to child abuse victims and protective adult caregivers under general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. Clinical services to be provided in-person and virtually. Job Duties/Essential Functions:
  • Provide Clinical Intakes and schedule appointments as required.
  • Provide Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy as appropriate.
  • Provide Parent Child Interaction Therapy as appropriate (if trained).
  • Provide individual counseling to clients at their designated center.
  • Responsible for completing client documentation within 48 hours of their session.
  • Complete monthly program and agency reports.
  • Supervise student interns on an as needed basis.
  • Lead or sub for groups on an as needed basis.
  • Other job duties as requested by immediate supervisor or Chief Executive Officer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Masters degree in social work, counseling, or related field with a current Texas license as an LMSW, LPC-A or LMFT-A: LCSW, LPC or LMFT preferred.
  • Must be familiar with TF-CBT and be knowledgeable of other EBPs.
  • Must possess strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Must have two years of experience working with child abuse victims in a clinical setting.
  • Must be comfortable leading groups in the absence of a contract therapist or if asked to take on and lead a weekly group.
  • Must be willing to conduct telemental health sessions as needed.
  • Must have valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance if driving for agency purposes.
  • Must successfully complete annual criminal and civil background checks.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and present in a positive, professional manner at all times.
  • Able to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure of deadlines.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Alliance For Children.
Physical Requirements:

Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel and twist on an intermittent and sometimes continuous basis. Able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers and reach overhead. Able to operate a telephone and computer. Able to lift up to 20 lbs. Moderate independent travel by private auto required.
