- Assist department manager in the general administration of departmental responsibilities.
- Monitor system performance and make routine additions (adds), moves, changes, and repairs involving the established telephones/telephone systems as required.
- Maintain central communications systems, Cisco Unified Communications platform (PBX) including analyze PBX data and compile reports and summaries, program PBX to route calls in the most efficient manner possible, etc.
- Install and maintain telecom circuits including multiple protocols and carriers.
- Respond to user problems and resolve them on an expedited basis contacting service or equipment suppliers, as necessary.
- Install or remove cable as required by changing service conditions.
- Provide technical support to the department manager regarding all aspects of the telecommunications system and hardware; assist in the acquisition process of required equipment.
- Provide security systems to protect against unauthorized access; analyze data to detect unauthorized usage and fraud.
- Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, and equipment repairs.
- Install new and/or move PBX equipment as needed at all offices.
- Set up new users and relocate existing users with telephone extensions, calling features, voice mail, and access codes.
- Train new users to operate telecommunications equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain Avaya IP Office/Norstar Key Systems.
- Install and maintain telecom circuits including multiple protocols and carriers.
- Respond to user problems and resolve them on an expedited basis contacting service or equipment suppliers, as necessary.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree in a related field.
- 6+ years of related experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
- Certification on Avaya IP Office Platform.
- Certification on Cisco voice systems.
- Certification on LAN/WAN technologies desired.
