Job Description Description SAIC is seeking a Security Maintenance Inspector in Crane, IN to support electronic security systems for the U.S. Navy.JOB DUTIES:Provide maintenance and technical support required for ancillary facilities, modifications, firmware updates and installation of new Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and security devices in buildings and magazines located at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) CraneThis includes the installation of security systems, digital video surveillance systems, and various security related sensors and devices such as balanced magnetic switches, surveillance cameras and infrared motion detectors as required by NSWC Crane Security OfficeProvide technical support, modifications, yearly maintenance, inspections, trouble-shooting, firmware updates and repair of the on-site AMAG and Vindicator Security Systems, American Dynamics and Pelco Digital Video Surveillance Systems, and various security related sensors and devices such as balanced magnetic switches, surveillance cameras and infrared motion detectors in all buildings located at NSA Crane that are part of either the AMAG or Vindicator security systemsEstablish schedule for travel and coordination to maximize facility timeFacilitate customer changes, coordinated site review and training, and customer relations follow-upQualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalent and at least four (4) years of experienceMust be able to climb ladder over 10 ftMust be able to work in a non-controlled climate - i.e. no air conditioningMust be able to use personal cell phone for after hours on-call support, as neededMust be motivated, professional in demeanor, and able to work in a fast-paced environmentCandidate will be required to follow all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occurMust be willing to cross-train into other types of equipment and systems as requiredGood interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to follow step-by-step instruction to complete taskingAbility to read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprintsCapable of using basic inspection and maintenance toolsSelf-motivated with a sense of urgency in day-to-day performanceMay be contacted after hours (on personal cell phone) for emergency response support for security issues infrequentlyREQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim Secret needed to startMust be a U.S. citizenDESIRED:AMAG knowledge desired but not requiredOverview SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.SAIC® is a premier Fortune 500® mission integrator focused on advancing the power of technology and innovation to serve and protect our world.
