Job Overview - Seasonal Janitorial Associate This is a
temporary, part-timeposition to support the bookstorewith high demand during
football game weekends. You'll assist in ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all assigned areas. This includes routine cleaning tasks, special projections, and responding to cleaning emergencies as needed/
What You'll Do: - Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in hallways, offices, restrooms, and other work areas
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Empty trash and recycling bins, and transport waste to designated areas
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, vents, and equipment
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance or repair needs
- Ensure safe storage and proper labeling of cleaning supplies and chemicals
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company procedures
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and spills
Physical Requirements: - Comfortable moving around the store for your entire shift
- Able to stand for long periods
- Frequent lifting of25-50 lbswith or without reasonable accommodation
- Occasional reaching, bending, stooping, and use of ladders
What You Bring: - Must be18 years or older
- Positive, energetic attitude with excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service mindset and willingness to assist others
- Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills
- Flexible availability, especially during game weekends
- Must be able to pass a background check
