About the job Industrial Painter PAY - $20-$24/hrSHIFT - 2nd ShiftThe painter applies protective and/or decorative paint finishes to prepared surfaces on a variety of products to suit specifications. Methods and equipment are usually prescribed. Mixes and prepares paint. Maintains equipment in clean, safe condition. Accountabilities (max. 8 accountabilities)Retrieves parts from staging areasHelps prep weldments for priming and finish coatingRead and understand units of measure Applies a variety of surface coatingsMaintains spray guns and equipmentRequired functional competencies / experience / qualifications1+ years of painting experience using a spray gunFamiliar with and previous use of hand tools including grinder, sander, etc. Ability to work independently without supervision on all assembliesMust be accustomed to physical tasks for long periods of time. This includes standing, kneeling, lifting, bending, and using your hands and working with various materials. Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessaryAbility to work overtime when needed and occasional weekends requiredExtremely detailed orientatedAble to maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulationsSafely operate a forklift and overhead craneHave basic computer skills in Excel, Word and email
