Salary: $34,200.00 Annually Location : Glenville, WV Job Type: Non-classified Job Number: 0485P00215L Division: Technology Office Opening Date: 07/01/2025 Description This is a full time, twelve-month appointment. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Glenville State University Office of Technology, reporting to the Director of Information Technology. Examples of Duties This person will be required to perform varied routine and complex administrative duties, as well as supervising the Switchboard/Help Desk, PCard management, maintaining the budget, inventory of IT equipment, software, GLBA compliance documentation, cyber security documentation, quarterly review of user accounts documentation, and assisting employees with minor IT related issues in the field. Typical Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a broad knowledge of, and have prior experience in, a technical or business occupation or have an apprenticeship, vocational training or an Associate degree in a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience in the IT field. Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate proficiency with the student email system, active directory, banner, switchboard, computer types and peripherals on campus, as well as have a knowledge of daily IT operations. Thus, 12 percent of your gross salary is working for your retirement income. New employees must join TIAA/CREF. TIAA Total Disability Benefits Plan: Optional employees coverage that provides (1) monthly income and (2) payments of premiums to your TIAA/CREF retirement plan to participating employees who suffer total, long-term disabilities.
