Job Overview

Maintains cleanliness and order in the lobby and common areas for guests. Provides prompt and courteous service to guests.

Responsibilities
  • Walk through all assigned floors at the beginning and end of the shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty trash containers
  • Remove trash and/or linens and observe any areas that need immediate cleaning.
  • Clean all public areas as prescribed while following safety procedures and regulations to include, but not limited to: hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc.
  • Remove dirty laundry, towel, and trash from service areas and take them to the appropriate places as prescribed.
  • Assist room cleaning staff as needed
  • Store clothing and supply closets to ensure inventory is up to date.
  • Report any lost/found items, damages, or merchandise problems to your supervisor or manager.
  • Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest problems and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure their satisfaction.

Physical Demands

  • Push the vacuum cleaner along the entire length of the hallway, carry supplies from the department to the assigned floor, carry dirty laundry to the laundry area, remove service trays from rooms and carry dirty dishes to the service area.
  • Bend/kneel - the position requires bending and kneeling to reach all areas. Service trays from rooms are placed on the floor to collect. Bending would be necessary to retrieve dirty dishes.
  • Mobility - movement to reach all areas: shelves, windows, cornices, pipes, under and around furniture.
  • Continuous standing - continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish everything required for the position.
  • Climbing stairs - approximately 40 steps 15% of 40 hours per week.
Salary

USD $16.00 - USD $16.00/Hr.
