If you want to help transform communities and see families thrive, then People Serving People is the place for you.What do we need:We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join the housekeeping team in keeping the shelter a clean and inviting place for families experiencing homelessness. This is a full-time position.Responsibilities:Maintains the general cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the building including, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows, emptying trashes and cleaning restrooms.Assists in the daily laundering of guest linens and towels.Cleans empty and dirty rooms when needed.Leads volunteers and contracted temporary workers.Applies lessons learned in Trauma Informed Care trainings into daily interactions with guests.Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.Pay and Benefits:$25.00/ hourFull-Time, Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.Medical, dental, and vision insurance available.Company-paid life and disability insurance.401(k) with employer contribution at 6 months.40 days of PTO per year.Reduced cost parking or metro pass.Cellphone reimbursement.Reduced childcare rates.12 weeks of paid parental leave.Financial wellness benefit.The chance to make a real difference in the community.RequirementsOne-year experience in Housekeeping field.Experience working in residential properties desired.Physical ability for high mobility.Experience working as part of a team.Experience working with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.Experience working with homeless families and/or individuals preferred.Basic computer skills required.Salary Description $25.00/ hourly
