ResponsibilitiesThe global communications team requires an engineer whose responsibility is evaluation, testing, delivery and support of cellular network services. This role will report within our network engineering team.
This being a key role in selecting and delivering cellular networks, our cellular network integration engineer requires a broad skill set including:
Cellular networking:Solid understanding of cellular networking concepts, including: 4G/ 5G access; eSIM, multi-IMSI and traditional SIM solutions; edge cellular routers such as Cradlepoint, Digi, Peplink, etc.
Cellular Carriers: Knowledge and experience of AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile US networks.
Intermediate networking knowledge: Fortinet Firewalls, Juniper & Cisco Routers, BGP routing and Linux networking.
Security: Knowledge and experience with security policies, firewalls, encryption, and security information including SIM and device hardening.
Router Management/Reporting Tools: Familiar with using device managers and SIM portals used for diagnostic trouble shooting issues, SLA reporting and data management.
WiFi: Deploying and monitoring integrated router WIFI access points in retail environments.
Continual learning: Pro-active online learning as networks provide updates, new services and features. Engage in active lottery projects to gain experience. Certification led training plans.
Key tasks include:Communication: Can work with technical and non-technical teams to deliver appropriate updates to networks, limiting impact to business
Learning Agility: Rapidly acquires new knowledge and learns new skills. Stay current with emerging technologies and advancements in wireless communication systems

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
