The Assembly Operator will perform manual assembly tasks to strict customer requirements. These tasks may include, but are not limited to, inserting, working with adhesives, and part marking of various Thermoplastic and Thermoset parts. The Assembly Operator will assist in identifying quality issues within the cell, proficient in measuring using calipers, micrometers, height stands, CMM, etc. They will contribute to the team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead. A high school diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred, along with computer and math skills. The Assembly Operator must be able to stand for long periods of time, work in above ambient temperatures, maintain high attendance standards, and strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions. They must complete all paperwork correctly, legibly, and honestly, maintain work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles, and contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost, and delivery. The Assembly Operator must be able to escalate problems as they arise within the department, make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast-paced work environment, adhere to Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action, and maintain professionalism at all times. This position is subject to export controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Physical Demands include: Vision - Ability to view/see parts for visual inspection and measuring; Reading and Writing - Expressing or receiving detailed information by nonverbal means; Bend/Stoop/Kneel/Crouch - Requires use of the lower extremities and back muscles; Standing/Walking - Particularly for sustained periods of time; Finger/Grasp/Handle/Feel - Working primarily with fingers; Talk/Hear - Expressing or receiving detailed information by means of spoken word; Repetitive Motions - Substantial movement of wrists, hands and/or fingers; Working in above ambient temperatures.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $41,100 to $45,700. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
