Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist to support the 53d Test and Evaluation Group (TEG) Experimental Operations Unit (EOU) at Nellis AFB. Candidate will be responsible for work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting the initial standup and follow-on sustainment of the Air Force's first Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) unit. This position has the primary responsibility of ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of EOU information systems. The candidate will be directly supporting the USAF's newest weapon system by assisting in the development of unit cyber security doctrine, personnel construct, facilities, and policy concepts related to CCA. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, operators, and analysts, and will have strong problem-solving, adaptability, communication, leadership, and attention to detail skills. Major Duties and Responsibilities : Candidate will be responsible for providing Secret Collateral Security, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) Security subject matter expertise in support of the coordination, execution, and management for the Experimental Operations Unit (EOU) security program. Candidate will also be responsible for providing support to security related matters for experimentation, training, and test events. Tertiary responsibilities may include national level demonstrations/experiments on behalf of Higher Headquarters organizations. Assists the local government and contract security professionals and the Project Manager in all duties listed below. Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to : Perform day-to-day maintenance of systems, including auditing and patch managementPerform technical security assessments of complex systemsIdentify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategiesApply knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environmentsWrite Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) documentation and ensure the systems are operated and maintained in accordance with these security plansEnforce the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architecturesSupport security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management for client systems and programsInteract with technical team members from multiple organizations in a diversified, team environmentIdentify overall security requirements for the proper handling of client dataPerform system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves to include those with differing data protection/classification requirementsRecommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirementsEnsure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorizations, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to client systemsConduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization packagePerform key functions (above) and other security-related tasks as directed on multiple systems, at multiple sites, or for multiple clientsRequired Skills: 10+ years of experience with IT security policies, practices, and procedures10+ years of experience providing IT support for SAP and SCI information systemsSecurity+ certificate requiredStrong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skillsDoD8140 IAM Level II certification requiredExperience with Cyber Systems development, sustainment, and baseline planningDoD, USAF, and interagency information assurance requirements with demonstrated knowledge of the RMF ProcessDoD, USAF, and interagency security accreditation proceduresMust be compliant with Department of Defense Directive 8570 (DoDD 8570) Certification- IAT Level II within 6 months of employmentGood analytic skills, capable of network and system troubleshooting, assessment, and resolutionCapable of operating in a demanding environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneouslyDesired Skills/Experience : Network+ and Microsoft Certified professional (MCP) certifications desiredDOD8140 IAT Level III or experience with ISSO responsibilitiesGeneral knowledge of military platforms, systems, and operationsExperience working on-site in a government client environmentEducational Requirements : Master's Degree OR Bachelors Degree +18 years of experience in an Information Security Specialist role OR 22+ years of experience in a Information Security Specialist roleSecurity Clearance : TS clearance with in-scope SSBI requiredAbility to obtain and maintain SCI/SAP/STO clearances required.
