Make a meaningful difference every day.Cunningham Childrens Home is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Therapist to join our team at Circle Academy. This role provides direct services to students with speech and language needs in a therapeutic educational setting. You'll work closely with students, families, and educational teams to support each childs communication development and academic success.About Us:Circle Academy Urbana is a therapeutic special education school serving students in grades K-12. We provide a structured, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment that supports each student's academic and emotional growth.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, diagnostic assessments, and evaluations to determine student needs.
- Provide direct speech/language therapy services, including management of articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers on strategies to support student goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements.
- Provide consultation and recommendations to staff and families.
- Stay current on best practices and continue professional development.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) required.
- Knowledge of speech/language development, special education regulations, trauma-informed care, and behavior management.
- Experience with RTI/MTSS, early childhood development, autism, and assistive technology preferred.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively across disciplines.
- Willingness to travel between Urbana and Rossville campuses as needed.
