Design Coordinator SAUSALITO, CA Serena & Lily is searching for a design coordinator to join our tight knit Design Team at our Sausalito Headquarters. In this role, you will support the design team in the product development process of all categories. You'll get a front row seat to the entire product development lifecycle from concept through development at a fast paced, growing company. Our ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is eager to learn and has a passion for design that will allow them to hit the ground running. This role reports into the Director of Design. Product development is collaborative and tactile so ability to work in person is imperative. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the development of all categories.
  • Create and maintain presentation ready visual product documents in InDesign.
  • Oversee all product samples. From inspiration product to sampling rounds, you know what lives where and keep all living product organized and ready for review.
  • Create systems to keep the studio and design team organized. Are we always looking for pantones or missing just one swatch? Is there a better way to store color references or file lab dips? You seek to not just execute but improve the efficiency of we do.
  • Maintain the physical design studio. You keep the studio and sampling areas tidy with a daily sweep. Checking often to ensure pantones, swatches, products are filed and where they belong.
  • Format and fact check Assembly Instructions, ensuring they follow our aesthetic and procedural formula with a keen eye for accuracy and details.
  • Render product concepts. You can take a reference image and manipulate it to better represent the idea in photoshop with consideration for scale and details.
  • Assist in all seasonal presentation set ups from receiving and organizing samples, hanging wallpaper, mocking up upholstery, stuffing pillows, dressing beds, installing lighting and other heavy lifting.
  • Roll up your sleeves and help fill in gaps when needed.
  • This is a full time, in person role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Detail Oriented - you have an eye for detail.
  • Quick Learner and a self-starter - seeking assistance when faced with challenges and finding the right resources to finish tasks.
  • Highly organized - thrives in fast past environments by keeping a meticulous eye on all the balls in the air at one time, able to anticipate the next step and effectively self-manage their time.
  • Problem Solver - you see a problem and you solve it.
  • An ability to listen well and follow direction, asking for clarity when needed.
  • Team player - ready to lend a hand, no matter the task
COMPENSATION:
  • $69-73k per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills.
  • Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance should they choose to participate in Serena & Lily's benefits. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan. During the first year of employment, full-time employees accrue twenty-one days of PTO and seven paid holidays throughout the year.
