Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00

Shift: Monday-Friday days

Instruction and supervision of person served in all aspects associated with day and/or residential programming, including but not limited to adjustment counseling, coping and functional skill building, functional activities and community outings. Ensure the health, safety and well-being of the people we support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assist with development and implementation of staff training, behavior plans, and crisis intervention as assigned by the behavior specialist, support management specialist or site management.• Respects and maintains the confidentiality of the person served. Demonstrates a positive and caring attitude towards person served, families and staff. • Plans, coordinates and implements meaningful activities daily in areas of daily living and personal care needs as well as person centered activities that promote independence, inclusion and productivity. • Ensure all individuals' service plans are followed.• Completes all tasks necessary to ensure health and safety of each person receiving services.• Administers medication following proper procedures.• Safely transports people following proper procedures.• Performs daily site cleaning, food preparation and laundry as needed. • Completes daily documentation and other paperwork OPWDD and agency standards promptly and accurately as applicable. • Attends/participates in general staff meetings, in-service training and other pertinent agency meetings/trainings. • Keeps in compliance with required agency/OPWDD trainings. • Flexibility to work assignments as needed at the agency within shift and/or other availability.• Administers medications and follows proper procedures as required. • Specific work functions and hours worked may vary from specific departments and locations.• Completes all necessary documentation in a timely manner. • Complies with all agency policies and procedures.• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• High School Diploma or GED.• One year of related experience preferred.• Valid Driver's License that meets agency policy.• Ability to read and write.• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.• Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.• Ability to read and comprehend plans and documentation. • Basic computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.• Ability to lift and transfer individuals manually and mechanically as required by prescribed program/plan.• Ability to move, reposition, and place individuals in pieces of equipment.• Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations including maintaining Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention certification as per regulatory guidelines.• CPR certification required.• Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations, including Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) certification as per regulatory guidelines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
