Job Summary The Package Handler supports the student mailroom operations at Tufts University by receiving, checking in, and distributing packages and mail to students. This role requires excellent multitasking and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment, with a significant amount of walking and standing throughout the shift. Key Responsibilities

Receive, check in, and distribute packages and mail to students efficiently and accurately

Provide courteous and professional customer service to students and faculty

Assist with courier services to faculty, if the temporary position becomes permanent

Perform various mailroom tasks as needed throughout the workday

Handle lifting of packages up to 50 pounds; assistance available for heavier items

Maintain an organized and clean mailroom environment

Required Qualifications

Strong multitasking abilities and customer service skills

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during busy shifts

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely

Willingness to perform a variety of tasks as required in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

Valid driver’s license (helpful if the position transitions to permanent with courier responsibilities)
