Overview
An active family of four moving to Irvington, NY, seeks a full-time, live-out family assistant to join their family. The children are nine and eleven years old. The father works full-time and the mother is a stay-at-home parent. The family is building a new home scheduled for completion at the end of the year. Initially, there will be a transitional period at temporary residences in Westchester County until they move into their permanent home. The schedule will be Monday through Friday 11am/12pm - 8/9pm when the children are in school. During the summer, the schedule shifts to 8/9am-5/6pm. The position guarantees 45 hours per week. Flexibility on rare occasions to help on Saturday and/or Sunday, if one parent is traveling for work, would be appreciated, but not required. The position will start after Labor Day. The family is seeking candidates who are looking for longevity.
Responsibilities
- Driving the children to and from school and activities
- Supervision of children, as needed
- Running errands such as dry cleaning, packages, personal shopping for gifts, household inventory supplies, etc,
- Travel organization such as (un)load/(un)pack and put away items for travel, such as suitcases and bags
- Sorting and organization throughout the home
- Assist with event planning and execution
- Assisting the family with additional tasks, as needed
- Household maintenance to include handling vendors (e.g. landscaping, house cleaning, pool service, home repair), scheduling and overseeing appointments/repairs, and assisting with seasonal maintenance
- Manage maintenance of family vehicles, including scheduling and service appointments, tracking registration/inspections, car washes, etc.
Note: There is a family car for work hours/responsibilities, and employee will be added to family's auto insurance policy

Requirements
- Must be legal to work in the US
