TITLE: Counselor, Outpatient Behavioral Health

RESPONSIBLE TO: Regional Director

LOCATION:

WORK AREA: In school setting

As a Counselor, you'll play a key role in guiding children and adolescents through their mental health, developmental, and substance use challenges. Our goal? Comprehensive Care: Conduct insightful clinical assessments that lay the foundation for personalized treatment journeys.

Positive Healing: Lead individual and group therapy sessions, infusing them with creativity and empathy.

Confidentiality Champion: Safeguard confidentiality and uphold regulations to ensure the well-being of our clients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Perform each essential function satisfactorily
  • Self motivated and able to make quality ethical decisions independent of supervisor when necessary
  • Ability to research new and current information using available technologies
  • Entry level knowledge of multiple modalities of treatment
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess basic computer skills including E-mail, Word, and Excel

    • Credentials and Academic Requirements

  • BSW with LSW, MA Counseling, MA with LPC, MSW, MSW with LCSW, LSW or LGSW, LCDCII, LCDCIII
  • Master's degree with licensure preferred
  • MSW in social work preferred
  • MA in Counseling or Psychology acceptable
  • BSW with five years of experience accepted in lieu of master's

  • Must obtain clearance with the WV Cares background check
  • Valid Ohio/Kentucky/West Virginia drivers license indication individual is at least 21 years of age
  • Personal automobile insurance
