About the Role

The organization is looking for a dynamic Director of Teacher Development and Academics for Grades 5-8 Humanities. This exciting position focuses on spotting and developing talent for the coaching pipeline, establishing key experiences for budding coaches, and ensuring milestone completion. You will work closely with school leaders and stakeholders to elevate instructional practices, boost student performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The perfect candidate is a fervent lifelong learner with a robust background in relevant content areas and is passionate about empowering students to excel academically. We seek someone experienced in developing teachers into coaching roles and who thrives in an environment that holds high expectations.

Applicants should possess a Master's degree in education or a related field, with a preference for a Doctorate, and have a minimum of 7-10 years in education, including at least 5 years focused on teacher development. You will need to be skilled in modeling instructional practices, providing timely, constructive feedback, and adept at recognizing talent in teachers. Embracing both adult and child perspectives in education is crucial, along with a readiness to work in a supportive and caring yet high-expectation environment.

Please note that this role may require occasional travel and the ability to work on-site, with some options for remote work available.
