Penn Vet was founded in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and has since grown to open branches in Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina. About the Position To assist the Purchasing Director or Manager as directed to accomplish the workload needed to support the company's sales effort effectively, while maintaining budgeted goals set by management. Candidates must be available to work a hybrid work schedule from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepares all price change notifications for presentation to management for approval
  • Runs weekly overdue purchase order reports, requests updates and then updates our system with the new information
  • Consolidates all purchase orders and submits them to our vendor partners
  • Confirms all purchase orders and communicates to the buying team her findings
  • Posts product updates in Teams per the buyer's approval
  • Requests product information from our Vendor Partners
  • Communicates issues or concerns to our vendor community as directed by the buying team
Required Education and Experience
  • Associates Degree in Business or Logistics, Bachelor's preferred
  • Experience in a wholesale distribution purchasing environment preferred.
  • Experience in the Veterinary industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and computer skills are required.
  • Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, customer orders, packing and shipping instructions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills. Strong attention to detail, well organized
  • Excellent math skills.
