Laboratory Manager Schedule: Full Time | On-site Salary Range: $117,249 - $169,998 Are you a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist with leadership experience ready to take the next step in your career? A respected healthcare organization in Southern California is seeking a Lab Manager to oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and lead a high-performing team in a dynamic clinical setting. About the Role: As Laboratory Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a team of Clinical Lab Scientists and Lab Assistants, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in all lab activities. You'll play a key role in operational planning, compliance oversight, and supporting patient-centered care through high-quality diagnostics. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily lab operations, including workflow, staffing, and adherence to testing protocols
  • Oversee a multidisciplinary team of Clinical Lab Scientists and Lab Assistants
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, DHS, CLIA '88) and institutional policies
  • Monitor quality assurance metrics and implement process improvements
  • Collaborate with leadership on operational goals, resource planning, and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain a deep understanding of clinical testing, lab procedures, and scientific principles

Job Requirements Required Qualifications:
  • Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
  • ASCP certification (MT/MLT/MLS)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist
  • Strong foundation in biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and genetics
  • Working knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality standards
  • Leadership mindset with strong organizational and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of laboratory leadership experience, preferably in an acute care setting
