Job Type Full-time Description ARM CAMCO is seeking an Engineering Manager who is responsible for overseeing all tasks related to managing the engineering team including the direct supervision and development of a team of engineers responsible for testing, designing, and analyzing various electrical equipment including electronic devices, cables, relays, breakers, switchgear, and transformers. This position ensures the successful execution of customer projects according to procedures, safety guidelines, timeline requirements, and quality standards. Reports to the Director of Operations and supervises a team of 4-6 field service engineers. Primary Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Development

  • Establish and manage the engineering department budget and resources.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering team members.
  • Support team members' professional development, particularly toward PE licensure and NETA technician accreditation.
  • Lead performance evaluations and set clear expectations for team members.
  • Check team's work for technical accuracy and quality assurance.
Project Management
  • Oversee field project execution by coordinating engineers' schedules with project scheduler and sales/operations leaders.
  • Set priorities to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Accurately track project work time and maintain project data in the ERP system.
  • Effectively communicate with internal staff to ensure client needs and schedules are met.
Technical Leadership
  • Provide expert technical support for customer projects and inquiries.
  • Lead research and development initiatives that produce new designs, products, and processes.
  • Develop and implement technical standards and best practices.
  • Train engineering team in all aspects of testing, analysis, and design.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment at all times.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Electrical or Mechanical.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 18 months.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering and/or field service experience.
  • Motivated self-starter who has the experience and ability to lead a technical staff.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities for evaluating test information and solving complex problems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience with basic computer programs (Word, Excel) and/or ERP systems.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with industrial electrical equipment application, service, repair or manufacturing.
  • Understanding NETA testing requirements or a NETA technician certification.
Travel Requirements:
  • Position requires approximately 25-30% travel to customer sites and facilities.
  • Travel includes occasional overnight stays and weekend work based on project needs.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Desire to work in various industrial and environmental conditions.
