About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP, Retail Marketing to spearhead the strategic and executional aspects of marketing for its retail business. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the end-to-end marketing strategy, with a focus on driving customer acquisition, retention, and brand affinity at scale. This role demands a leader with a retail-first and digital-first mindset, capable of architecting and managing the retail marketing budget to deliver measurable results. The VP will work closely with P&L owners to align marketing strategy with business goals, set the retail brand vision, and ensure its cohesive expression across all customer touchpoints. A key aspect of the role is leading the development and performance of CRM channels, driving paid media and national advertising, and leading a creative agency to deliver high-quality, high-quantity work. Candidates for this role at the company should have a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of marketing leadership experience in high-growth, multi-unit retail environments. While cannabis experience is a plus, it is not required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in digital and omnichannel retail marketing, including loyalty, e-commerce, CRM, and performance marketing. They must be adept at customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and have a strong analytical mindset. The role requires an outstanding communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills, who is a builder and leader of high-performing teams. The VP will be expected to operate with an ownership mindset, delivering with excellence, and proactively solving problems.
