Illustrated Parts Catalog Senior Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Customer Support Engineering team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Illustrated Parts Catalog Senior Manager (Level L) to join the team in Seal Beach, CA. Position Overview: The Senior Manager of the Commercial Illustrated Parts Catalog/Data (IPC/IPD) team will play a crucial role in the production and management of IPC/IPD for all Boeing 7-series and McDonnell Douglas heritage aircraft. Our IPC/IPD serves as an essential operational resource for identifying and requisitioning allowable replaceable aircraft parts and units, tailored to meet each aircraft's specific configuration requirements as defined by its delivered state, including approved part interchangeability and optional part applicability. Throughout the aircraft's lifecycle, the IPC is continuously updated to reflect Supplement Type Certificate (STC) changes, service bulletins, Customer Originated Changes (COC), and part interchangeability updates. We transform complex engineering and supplier data into maintenance-friendly IPC/IPD solutions that comply with iSpec2200 and S1000D standards. With over 14,000 IPC/IPD products published annually, our team is dedicated to ensuring that our customers have the most accurate and up-to-date information to support their operational needs. Position Responsibilities - Senior Manager IPC/IPD Post Production, Illustration, and Product Delivery:
  • Responsible for a global team transforming Service Bulletins, Modification Engineering, Customer Originated Changes (COC's), and Rapid Revisions into friendly iSpec2200 and S1000D compliant IPC/IPD's required for fleet operation for all Boeing 7-series and McDonnell Douglas heritage aircraft
  • Responsible for all IPC/IPD related Isometric Illustrations for both In-Production & Post Production
  • Responsible for IPC product delivery and publication in SGML, PDF, and XML formats delivering >14,000 IPC/IPD Products annually
  • Monitoring global performance to plan, making Statement of Work (SOW) assignment changes as necessary to meet all scheduled commitments
  • Ensuring IPC/IPD's are complete and on-time to meet customer operations expectations
  • Role requires a flexible schedule for coordinating with global teams (different time zones)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience with PDM, Bridge, and IPC systems
  • 5+ years of experience with Boeing engineering design tools (CATIA, PDM etc.)
  • 5+ years of previous leadership experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with ATA100, ATA iSpec2200, and ASD S1000D specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Working knowledge of the IPC/IPD, how its produced and used by our customers.
  • 10+ years of technical aerospace experience along with working knowledge of Boeing Engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and collaborate with stakeholders whose physical location may be not centralized (Seal Beach, San Diego, Long Beach, and Global)
  • Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to manage multiple aircraft model programs and priorities concurrently. (Previous Project Management experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated above average oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in Lean principles and has sponsored, led, or participated in Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIW's) and Value Stream Mapping Workshops (VSM)
  • Previous experience as a Change Leader (implementing change)
  • Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution experience
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time, internationally and/or domestically
