Department The Florida State University Career Center Responsibilities This role serves as the Career Services Liaison for one campus department and/or special population as well as the Career Center Ambassador Program. Provide individual and group career advising along with delivering Career Center workshops and presentations to educate students on career development resources. This role implements a strategy to deliver Career Center initiatives, programs, services, and events, with a focus on student career readiness, competency development, and employability skills. This position will build relationships with and coordinate events that connect a variety of organizations, employers, alumni, and stakeholders to students. This involves outreach such as tailored messaging, follow up, calls and both in-person and virtual interactions to increase recruitment opportunities for all students such as internships and other experiential learning, industry engagement, and post-graduation outcomes. As the Liaison to the Career Center Ambassador Program: Responsibilities include project management, the development of career-readiness and preparedness programming and infusing employer engagement along with recruiting student participants, training, scheduling Ambassadors to assist with Career Center events and initiatives, and the necessary tasks to ensure the Program's sustainability and attainment of successful outcomes. Provide career advising, workshops, and presentations to educate students and stakeholders on career development resources. Support the Career Center's employer-related activities, such as on -campus engagement, programs, and career events, providing logistical support, management, and ongoing assessment. Completes projects and plans employer engagement events as assigned by the Senior Assistant Director for Employer Relations and the Director of Employer Relations in support of Career Center initiatives. This includes cultivating and nurturing relationships with employers to expand recruitment activities at Florida State University. Conduct outreach and follow up to hiring organizations that meet the goals, expectations, and interests of Florida State University students. Document employer interactions for assessment and reporting purposes, demonstrating the impact of these engagements. Stay updated on industry trends and career development information and provide guidance to organizations on refining their recruitment strategies. Serve as Liaison to one campus department and/or special population. Foster relationship-building with campus partners, stakeholders, and employers through effective communication channels like face-to-face interactions, tailored messaging, calls, and consultations, and conduct career advising with students in the assigned area. Provide support across Career Center services, initiatives and programs by presenting workshops, conducting general student career advising, and serving on internal Career Center committees as well as university-wide committees. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three years of experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and seven years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to seven years.) Must have a valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
