LHH is recruiting a temporary IP Docket Clerk for a downtown law firm. Full-time, on-site. Benefits are available. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update IP dockets: This includes entering critical dates, legal documents, and other relevant information into specialized software.
- Monitor deadlines: Closely track deadlines related to patent and trademark filings, applications, and other IP matters.
- Communicate with legal teams and clients: Inform attorneys, paralegals, and clients about upcoming deadlines and ensure they have the necessary information.
- Prepare and distribute reports: Generate and distribute docket reports and calendar reminders to keep the legal team informed of upcoming deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance: Verify the accuracy of docket entries and ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
- Support patent and trademark prosecution: Assist with the preparation and filing of patent and trademark applications, amendments, and other legal documents.
- Conduct research: Utilize online resources such as the USPTO and foreign patent and trademark databases to gather information.
- Collaborate with others: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals to manage IP portfolios and ensure deadlines are met.
