Customer Service Representative (CSR)Location: Animal Center West - Omaha, NE Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (specify as needed) Reports To: Practice Manager About Animal Center West At Animal Center West in Omaha, we believe in compassionate care and exceptional service-for pets and their people. Our team is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and efficiency. Position Summary The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the first point of contact for clients. This role is responsible for providing outstanding client service, managing appointment schedules, processing payments, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every visitor-both human and animal. Core Responsibilities Client Relations & Communication
  • Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and triage inquiries
  • Provide accurate information on services, fees, and policies
  • Support clients with check-in/check-out procedures and follow-ups
  • Clearly explain estimates and discharge instructions under DVM direction
Administrative & Workflow Support
  • Maintain up-to-date patient and client records
  • Process invoices, payments, and deposits
  • Assist in preparing daily reports and client reminders
  • Coordinate prescription refill requests and pickup times
  • Communicate with team members to ensure smooth patient flow
Team & Training
  • Participate actively in staff meetings and ongoing training
  • Support fellow team members during high-volume or urgent periods
  • Utilize our online training portal to complete onboarding and develop skills continuously
Qualifications Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role (veterinary or medical experience preferred)
  • Strong multitasking skills and a calm, professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Comfortable using computer systems for scheduling, billing, and patient records
Preferred:
  • Experience with veterinary PIMS software
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology and protocols
Work Environment & Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Must be available for weekday shifts and occasional weekends or holidays
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, animal-care environment
