Eastern University's Graduate and Professional Studies Admissions team is looking for a hard-working administrative professional to help process prospective student applications. The Enrollment Operations Specialist, reporting to the Assistant Director of Enrollment Operations, assists with the processing and maintenance of applicant files for Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) programs. Key responsibilities are processing, entering, and managing credentials, in addition to operating in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment serving the adult student population. Similar to all team members, the Enrollment Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining the department culture of excellent customer service and fostering a spirit of positivity, efficiency, responsiveness, continuous improvement, and celebration of individual and team successes. This position will benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid schedule. Our team is permitted to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays; then works together on campus Tuesday through Thursday. Position Responsibilities
  • Assist with the processing, scanning, and uploading of student application materials into the Enrollment CRM and document management software. The ideal candidate will have documented experience of performing these detail oriented tasks in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Monitor Admissions email account for incoming inquiries and applications and request programs of study and credit evaluations for applicants of specific graduate and online undergraduate programs.
  • Create inquiry records in the Enrollment CRM and answer and properly forward incoming inquiry calls received in the call center.
  • Audit application files for data consistency and correct supplemental documentation.
  • Assist in communicating with the Enrollment team regarding admission processes and missing required documentation from applicants.
  • Process and issue paperwork for international students to obtain their visa (previous experience welcomed but not required - training will be provided).
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings, team celebrations, and trainings.
  • Communicate across various support offices (i.e. Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Registrar, etc.) about applicants, student data, and class starts.
  • Provide quality customer service to students, staff, and faculty and embody the Eastern values of faith, reason, and justice to serve the university community with integrity.
  • Perform other program specific tasks as assigned by a member of the GPS leadership team.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate commitment to the student-focused and value-centered characteristics of the university as articulated in the EU Mission, Vision, and Core Commitments.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, collaborative, positive work ethos and attitude.
  • Familiarity of Microsoft Office Suite programs (i.e. Word, Excel) or Google Suite
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving ability, and effective relational and customer service skills
  • Proven administrative skills, including attention to detail, the ability to establish priorities and attain goals, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and display excellent grammar and word-processing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal immediate supervision
  • Knowledge of higher education recruitment and admissions practices is an asset, but not required.

Part-time staff who are scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week schedule are eligible for employer contribution towards the retirement plan after one year of employment. Eligibility rules apply. Adjunct faculty may make employee deferral contributions towards the retirement plan. Part-Time Graduate Assistant Coaches are eligible for participation in the Tuition Remission Coaches Program. Temporary, Contractors and Seasonal Employees: Individuals in this status are scheduled on an as-needed-basis and are not eligible for participation in the University's benefits programs.
