Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Cook for the Food Service Department (Up to $2,000 Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates) Shift - Full-time 40 hours a week, 8-hour Rotating Shifts (8 Shift Hours can vary from 4 a.m. to an end time of 8 p.m.) As a cook at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, you will prepare all hot foods for patient trayline, cafe, and functions including (but not limited to) entrees, vegetables, starches, and bakery items. Education

• High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
• Experience in Lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted.

Certification/Licensure

• Food Handlers Card - Certification - Food Service Certification. Food Handlers (as required by local Health Department).
