DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Clinical Support Associate to assist hospital clinical teams in streamlining key operational workflows related to medication requisition and patient admissions. This role is ideal for recent graduates pursuing careers in medicine, pharmacy, or physician assistant programs, offering valuable hands-on experience in a high-touch, patient-centered clinical environment. The Associate will work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary care teams to support accurate documentation, efficient coordination of care, and safe medication practices-without direct medication administration responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:Medication Requisition Support:
- Facilitate and track non-controlled medication orders and refills under nurse or provider guidance.
- Coordinate with pharmacies and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate medication reconciliation.
- Help monitor medication inventory and prepare requisition forms or documentation as needed.
Patient Admission Information Gathering:
- Conduct structured intake interviews to gather patient history, medication lists, and other admission-relevant data.
- Input and verify admission information in the electronic health record (EHR) with high attention to accuracy.
- Support nurses in preparing documentation and materials for patient onboarding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree completed, with a focus in pre-health, biology, chemistry, or related field.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in a clinical, pharmacy, or hospital-based setting is a plus.
- Comfort using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic office technology.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and a high level of professionalism.
