Pepin Academies Assistant Principal Major Function This position is second only to the Principal in the administration of the school. This administrator assumes any duties assigned by the Principal and is fully responsible for the school program in the absence of the Principal. The Assistant Principal is responsible to provide leadership and vision necessary to create an atmosphere conducive to student learning at the highest possible level appropriate to age group and to assume responsibility for all aspects of the school's operation.
Duties and Responsibilities - Implement Pepin Academies policies, state statutes and federal regulations
- Collaborate with school personnel to plan and implement Pepin Academies initiatives
- Facilitate, coordinate and monitor the implementation of Exceptional Student Education programs and services
- Adhere to all ESE State, Federal and District (as required) procedures
- Develop, implement and evaluate school philosophy, goals and objectives
- Maintain the ordering and inventorying of textbooks, materials, and equipment
- Plan for and supervise school activities (before and after school, as appropriate)
- Supervise student movement in all aspects of the program including cafeteria, and hall traffic
- Plan, implement and evaluate the assigned school instructional program based on students needs
- Determine staffing needs including selection, supervision, staff development and evaluation of all assigned school personnel
- Assist Principal in managing instructional budget(s)
- Maintain records and complete all necessary reports required by school, district and state
- Supervise pupil services (i.e. attendance, discipline, counseling)
- Develop and maintain a positive school/community climate and safe and healthy environment
- Assist teachers as needed with classroom management, professional development and all other state and federal requirements
- Deal effectively with emergency situations (i.e. child abuse) and investigate student accidents and other incidents and take appropriate action.
- Supervise and monitor the accurate and timely completion of data collection and reporting requirements
- Model and maintain high standards of professional conduct
- Provide recognition and celebration for student, staff and school accomplishments.
- Maintain visibility and accessibility on the school campus and at school-related events
- Locate and apply for grants and seek business partnerships to support school priorities
- Perform any other assigned tasks or duties as designated by principal

Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree, preferably in Education Leadership Minimum of three years teaching experience in an elementary or secondary school setting Certification in Exceptional Student Education Certification in Administration and Supervision at the proper level OR (if deemed appropriate by Principal) show evidence of school related experience in administration and supervision
Pay Range: $66,000 - $74,000 per year
