We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Technical Specialist to join our CI team. As the largest bookmaker in the United States, and as a member of our CI team, you will help identify improvement actions that will enable us to provide value to our customers and deliver books into the hands of readers across the country. Starting Rate: $23.49-$32.45/hour depending upon experience Work Hours: 1st Shift (7a-3p) with overtime as needed Location: We are located at 1005 Commercial Drive, Owensville, MO 65066. As a Continuous Improvement Technical Specialist, you will:

  • Collaborate with Site leaders to execute CI projects including data collections and analysis
  • Lead process improvement events and activities
  • Brainstorm, implement, and validate solutions in collaboration with cross- functional teams
  • Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and advocate to leverage operator input
  • Audit regular processes
  • Monitor improvement initiatives
  • Provide training to operational teams
  • Communicate and report CI findings, progress and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business or a related field and 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • Experience/knowledge regarding the concepts of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Solid computer skills including: MS EXCEL, MS Word, MS PPT and Google
  • Proficiency in data analysis, root cause analysis techniques, and process improvement initiation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate with varying levels of the organization
  • Coaching and training experience added plus
