Job Title: Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer – Automotive IndustryLocation: Ft. Payne, ALSalary Range:  ~ +/- $85,000–$100,000 (Negotiable, DOE)Company Overview:A well-established manufacturer of automotive components is seeking an Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer to join its Ft. Payne, AL facility. With over four decades of success, this facility specializes in Painting, Assembly, Molding, and Robotics-Controlled Lines. This is an exciting opportunity to drive efficiency, implement lean practices, and support new program launches in a thriving organization.Key Responsibilities:Lead continuous improvement activities using Kaizen methodology to reduce waste, improve metrics (IPPM, scrap, downtime), and support lean manufacturing goalsIdentify process improvements with cost-benefit analysis and ROI evaluationsAnalyze downtime data to propose productivity enhancements and execute improvement initiativesCollaborate with external suppliers and the Maintenance Department to support production improvementsDevelop labor calculations and capacity planning models to optimize resource allocation and address bottlenecksConduct elemental time studies and design efficient equipment and workspace layouts using AutoCADProvide detailed and timely reports to senior management on program status and critical issuesUnderstand plant equipment mechanics, processing, testing, and inspecting product components/assemblySupport quality, manufacturing, and engineering methods and practicesDevelop quote models for new programs, including labor and equipment costsValidate and track packaging design proposals for seamless implementation in new programsDesign innovative packaging concepts to eliminate part damage during transportation and reduce costsImplement action plans to meet departmental goals and foster teamwork within the organizationMaintain a clean, safe, and collaborative work environmentTrain employees on job tasks and promote a customer-focused approach to operationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, preferably within the automotive industryProficiency in automation, line studies, and line buildingStrong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniquesExpertise in AutoCAD and time study methodologiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with packaging design and new program launchesWork Environment:Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PMOvertime: Expected as necessaryWork Attire: CasualRelocation Assistance: AvailableWhy Join Us?Be a part of a company with a proven track record of success in the automotive industryOpportunity to lead impactful projects in a dynamic and supportive environmentCompetitive salary with room for professional growthHow to Apply:If you are ready to contribute your expertise to a thriving automotive manufacturer, submit your Resume today.Feel free to also contact Mollie Karns at ...@selectek.net | 678-###-####
