Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas. POSITION OBJECTIVE This position exists to design, maintain, and support software application, infrastructures, services, databases, network communications, and security. Initiate, manage and coordinate in-house or outsourced IT application software projects. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY Application/IT Design and Support: Design, maintain and support software applications, infrastructures, services, databases, network communications, and security. Project Management: Assist in planning and executing software application improvement projects by studying the processes and looking for problem areas. Analyze data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems. Best Practice Implementation: Document and demonstrate solutions to software application discrepancies by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code to increase equipment reliability. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Leadership and Staff Development: Learn and introduce new technology. Coach and lead individual team members for continued development. THM: Promote cleanliness and order through implementation of the Total Housekeeping Maintenance Program. Emphasize - Nothing Touch the Ground Program and No Visual Pollution Program. Maintain the plants' like new condition. QUALIFICATIONS Previous Related Experience Required 0-3 years' experience in AS400, SQL, MySql, Java Script, C#, Python, VBA, Network, Information Technology or Application Development or related industries preferred.
