Education: Required - Master's degree from an accredited university, in one of the following areas: psychology, social work, counseling, or another related human services field. Experience: Required - 1 year of experience providing counseling to the target program population. Licenses/Certifications: Must have a license as a LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, or LMSW. LMSW clinicians must be actively pursuing LCSW licensure, receiving external supervision by a board approved supervisor. Job Summary: The Clinician is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population while maintaining compliance with established state and federal standards. Essential Functions: 1. Assess personal mental health needs of clients; helps to meet those needs by providing counseling services and referrals. 2. Implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Mindfulness to individual clients and group therapy clients. 3. Develop detailed Individual Treatment Plans for each client and regularly assess progress, providing updates to the Treatment Plan as needed. 4. Maintain timely and accurate file documentation and data entry that meets the program requirements. 5. Manage assigned projects and supervises staff as assigned, to include case managers/case coordinators. 6. Report any suspected abuse or neglect to the Director and all appropriate state and county enforcement agencies. 7. Meet all deadlines required by the Director, Clinician Supervisor and state/federal partners. 8. Maintain own schedule of office visits, in-home visits and events. 9. Identify and maintain professional relationships with clients and community partners. 10. Attend and participates in staff meetings, in-service trainings and case consultations. 11. Demonstrate the ability to: a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics. b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish. c. Work in a fast-paced environment. d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position. e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. f. Travel as needed. g. Manage time effectively and efficiently. 12. Performs other duties as assigned per grant requirements. Measurable Deliverables: 1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position. 2. Complete client intake assessments and analysis to determine client needs and Treatment Plan goals and objectives. 3. Assist the Director in compiling and analyzing statistics and outcomes for grant reports. 4. Teach peer support skills in conflict resolution, anger management, parenting, etc., as needed. 5. Develop, monitor and review with individuals, an action plan designed to increase strengths, address needs, and reduce conflict in the home. 6. Complete all files and program documentation, data entry and other documentation or reports as needed, with accuracy within 5 business days. 7. Locate community resources to meet additional client needs. 8. Prepare presentations, training and facilitate groups that address topics related to child abuse prevention for community agencies, school, parents and youth. 9. Coordinate/participate in resource fairs in the community as assigned. 10. Participate/lead program weekly, monthly events and activities. 11. Obtain quarterly assessments of client's mental health needs and progression in the Individual Treatment Plan. 12. Compile, prepare, submit and maintain accurate records, files, forms and additional information in accordance with agency policies, licensing and/or contract requirements. 13. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by the Director. 14. Implement BCFS safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency. 15. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations. 16. Maintain BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in the employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and complying with the required dress code, at all times. Requirements: 1. Maintain certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid and CPR. 2. Valid Texas Driver's license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation. 3. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens. 4. Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request. 5. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).
