Position: Protocol Software Engineer
Duties: Develop and integrate protocol test scenarios and test platform products to ensure next generation 5G devices conform to industry and operator specifications. Focus on 5G NR and VoLTE/VoNR technologies. Serve as part of an international team working to deliver and integrate leading-edge test products for 4G and 5G mobile devices. Coordinate Anritsu activities with operator subject matter experts and represent Anritsu interested during operator and subject matter expert engagement. Develop and integrate 5G test products for mobile devices using Anritsu platform and equipment (for e.g. MT8000A, MD8430A). Negotiate operator SME acceptance of Anritsu test products. Debug integration issues, identify root cause and provide fixes involving international team. Support organizations investigating customer-reported issues and provide resolution in a timely manner. Clearly communicate status, roadblocks, accomplishments, and provide recommendations. Demonstrate system capabilities and solicit customer feedback for future considerations.
Education Required: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience Required: 5 years of progressive experience as Protocol Engineer, Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or related occupation
Special Requirements: Must have at least 2 years of prior work experience in each of the following:
Some telecommuting permitted. May be assigned to live and work in close proximity to customers in various locations in the U.S. for long term assignments and report to Morgan Hill, CA office.
Salary: $194,875 to $216,000 per year
