Job Description :

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by helping them achieve their highest level of independence, earn a paycheck, build life skills, grow relationships with peers, and engage with the community. A job coach's primary objectives are to assist team members in developing the skills needed to perform specific tasks, and bolster their interpersonal abilities. A job coach acts as mentor, cheerleader and supervisor providing quality control of GTI products and services. This position typically works with a small group of 4-5 team members, but may also work 1:1. This position would work up to 28hrs a week.

We also provide an opportunity to become certified with the National Association of Direct Support Professionals. If you complete all three steps of the certification process, you will be given a $3,900 bonus!

Pay range for this position is $16-19.50 hourly.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote positive social interactions
  • Support individuals in the community, in their job, or at their jobs (enclaves or facility based)
  • Teach skills to expand a person's independence and progress toward goals
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Administer medications
  • Support individuals with hygiene and skill building
  • Provide transportation with a company vehicle
  • Document program data at each shift and coordinate with all program staff
  • Provides and assists with job development or placement activities as directed.
  • Any other duties assigned

  • A level of integrity that motivates doing the right thing, even when no one is watching

Qualifications/ Physical requirements:

  • High school diploma or above and must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Pass a background check
  • Must have a full range of motion, physical strength, and the ability to achieve and maintain training and certifications
  • Basic computer usage/ knowledge
  • Follow company policies and procedures
